South Africa vs England 2020: Three South Africa players to watch out for in T20I series
Host South Africa will lock horns with England in the three-match T20I series which is starting from 27th November in Cape Town. The remaining two games of the series will be played at Paarl and Cape Town on 29th November and 1st December.
Earlier this year, South Africa lost the three-match T20I series against England played at home. The side will be looking to make amends for their mistakes made in the previous game.
On the other hand, this will be South Africa’s first home assignment since covid-19 pandemic brought cricketing events around the world to a halt.
For South Africa, Bjorn Fortuin, Janneman Malan, Kyle Verreynne, Temba Bavuma and Lutho Sipamla have been included in the T20I squad for the three-match series against England.
The series is an important one for the home side after recent crises in Cricket South Africa. New-captain Quinton de Kock will be hoping that the side can get off to a good start in this T20I series.

Quinton de Kock
Quinton de Kock has been a bankable performer for South Africa in white-ball cricket. Left-hander will be determined to excel in his leadership role for the side. Wicket-keeper batsman has a decent record in the T20-over format while playing for the Proteas as he has scored 1,226 runs in 44 innings at an outstanding average of 31.43 and with an impressive strike-rate of 136.07, which included six half-centuries.
De Kock will come into the series in really good form after showing excellent form with the bat for Mumbai Indians in the ongoing Indian Premier League. He has accumulated 483 runs in 15 innings at an average of 37.15 with four half-centuries to his name. Therefore, the team management will be hoping to see the swashbuckling opener continue his rich vein of form in the upcoming T20I series.
Rassie van der Dussen
The 30-year old will be keen to start well in the upcoming three-match series against England. Rassie van der Dussen has proven his class and caliber for South Africa in all three formats. He has shown his ability to produce notable scores and help South Africa win games of cricket. He is currently playing first-class cricket in South Africa and will need to make adjustments to his game for the three-match T20I series.
Since making his T20 debut in 2018, Rassie Van der Dussen has been member of the playing XI He has accumulated 406 runs in 15 T20I matches at an average of 31.23 with two half-centuries to his name.
Anrich Nortje
Rookie pacer will be one player to watch out for South Africa in this three-match T20I series against England. The 26-year old has delivered in superlative bowling performances for Delhi Capitals in the ongoing Indian Premier League. In 14 matches played this season, Anrich Nortje has claimed 20 wickets at an average of 22.25.
He has also been excellent for Delhi Capitals at the back end of the innings. Nortje has plenty of variations at his disposal from delivering searing yorkers to slower bowls.
For South Africa, Anrich Nortje has played only three matches and claimed two wickets at an average of 48.50.
