England Skipper Eoin Morgan has shown excellent form in white-ball cricket this home summer. Left-hander has looked fluent at the crease and decided to take on the bowlers from the start. Morgan has been a bankable performer for the side in one-day internationals. He along with Jos Buttler are the best player of spin the in playing XI.
The 33-year old will be keen to make notable contributions with the bat in this one-day series against Australia. Despite not doing much with the bat in the recently concluded T20I series, Morgan will be keen to make strong statement with the bat in this one-day series.
Since May 2019, Eoin Morgan has accumulated 697 runs in 21 one-day matches at an average of 49.78 with a strike rate of 113.14. He has also scored two centuries and three half-centuries during this period.
Jos Buttler is currently the best finisher in limited-overs cricket at the moment. With retirement of MS Dhoni, Buttler is certainly the player who can destroy bowling attacks in the final 10 to 15 overs of the innings.
Given his superlative performances in one-day internationals, Buttler will be looking to make an impact with the bat in this one-day series. Recently, Buttler was instrumental in helping England win the T20I series. He accumulated 121 runs in 2 innings at a strike rate of 145.78. The 32-year old will be looking to make an impact with the ball for England in the upcoming one-day series against Australia. He worked on technical issues and came back strongly against Australia in the three-match T20I series.
